Number 1 of this itinerary through Manchester bits and pieces it is a personal favourite, number 100 King Street (known as "the king of King Street"). Formerly a bank, now it is a restaurant and apparently there are plans to convert the upper floors into a hotel.
Oddly enough the building shouts Liverpool and has got little in common with the rest of the city of Manchester.
It was designed by Edwin Lutyens in 1928 and constructed between 1933 and 1935.
